Red Book of Grown-Up Fairytales (A Boxset of Decadents Fairytales…A Review)

Red Book of Grown-Up FairytalesIn a world of happily ever afters, fairy tales are known to have princes and princesses. But what happens when the princess is from another planet, or the prince is a hacker fugitive? In these five ADULT fairy tales, the boundaries go beyond the stories we grew up with. Perhaps an android can learn to love, or the hero is a wolf trying to save his mate. And sometimes, the happy ending cannot be found until the second time around.

These are the red hot fairy tales Granny would have warned you about … if she hadn’t been so distracted by the big bad wolf’s seduction. Move beyond the Grimm Brothers and saccharine sweet animation for fairy tales that will make your heart pound and your temperature rise.

The Star PrincessThe Star Princess by Jessica Subject

In one week, Princess Ro’sa will board a spaceship, leaving her home on Minjet to be with her betrothed on Earth. The only problem is, she detests the prince’s selfish and arrogant ways, preferring to spend time with his personal aide, a man who stirs her desires in ways she never imagined possible with his radiant blue eyes and smouldering lips. And oh, the way he touches her.

Earth’s post-apocalyptic landscape offers little but the alliance offers much and a princess must do her duty, no matter the danger to her person and to her heart.

Great introduction with the prologue.

An Adaptation of Grimm’s Riding Tale

This was a no go for me personally… unable to read A Riddle for Love by Lara Nances (I go for sci-fi books but robotic and human relations are a no go for me personally) DFN I did try and I can say this is a hard limit book for me, personally..

Adaptation of Owl by the Grimm Brothers
This was an interesting twist with the espionage, friends becoming more & such
Downside to the story in my opinion there’s more to be told like a backstory or even something more it just seemed like it was lacking.
Liked the epilogue to wrap up the story…

Overall ok good.

She confronts her father who tells her Nik is dead, and she’s next on his chopping block. Without Nik to protect her, she flees the pack and is kidnapped by a man half her size.

The blue light by The Grimm Brothers’ adaptation …
Tale of endurance & perseverance… A battle of good verses evil and how good always wins.

There seemed like there was more to this story.  Overall a good one.
